Time off
The PTO (time off) tab lets you view your leave balance, request time off, and see the status of your requests (pending, approved, denied). Your employer configures PTO policies and holidays in the dashboard; you see your assigned policy and balance here. Approvers (owners or managers) handle requests in the admin Leave requests page or in the manager area.
View balance
If your organization has given you a PTO policy, the top of the PTO tab shows one or more balance cards: policy name (e.g. “Annual leave”, “Sick leave”) and days left. For sick leave the balance may show as “Unlimited” depending on policy. Use this to see how many days you can request before submitting a new request.
Request time off
Tap Request time off (or similar) to open the form. You’ll typically:
- Select dates (start and end).
- Choose the type (e.g. vacation, sick) if you have multiple policies.
- Add an optional note.
- Submit. The request goes to your approver(s).
The app may prevent you from requesting more days than your balance or from selecting past dates. Approved requests reduce your balance according to the policy; denied requests do not.
Pending, approved, and denied
A list or calendar shows your requests: pending (awaiting approval), approved, and denied. You can see the dates, type, and status. Approvers manage these in the dashboard under Leave requests (owners) or in the manager flow if they have leave-approval rights.
