Leave requests
The Leave requests (PTO) page is where you review and approve or deny time-off requests from workers. Only owners can access it. You see pending requests, approve or deny them, and can view a PTO calendar. PTO policies (days allowed, holidays) are configured in Settings.
Pending approvals tab
The main view lists pending leave requests. Each request typically shows the employee name, requested dates, type (e.g. vacation, sick), and optional note. You can:
- Approve — the request is accepted; the worker’s balance is reduced (if applicable) and the dates are marked as time off.
- Deny — the request is rejected; the worker sees the denial in their Time off view.
A badge may show the number of pending requests. After you approve or deny, the request disappears from the pending list.
PTO calendar tab
The second tab shows a PTO calendar — a calendar view of approved (and sometimes pending) time off across the team. Use it to see who is off on which days and avoid scheduling conflicts. You can switch months or views as provided by the app.
How workers submit requests
Workers open the worker app and go to Time off. They select dates, choose a type (if applicable), add an optional note, and submit. The request appears in your pending list. Workers see their balance and request status (pending, approved, denied) in the same Time off section.
PTO policies and holidays
How many days workers get and how balances are calculated is defined by PTO policies in Settings. You can create or edit policies (e.g. annual allowance, carry-over), set holidays, and assign policies to employees. Holidays may count or not count against balance depending on policy settings. When you approve a request, the app applies the relevant policy and updates balances accordingly.
